February Closed Transactions

The momentum continued into February with our brokerage closing 29 transactions equating to more than 329,000 square feet.

The largest transaction by volume for the month was the sale of 1200 Kinnear Rd. Mike Simpson represented the buyer, the Ohio State University’s Science and Technology Campus Corporation, in purchasing the 50,164-square-foot industrial building for $6 million. Overall, industrial transactions picked up in February with nearly 40% of the month’s activity being industrial.

Ryan McGreevy represented the owner in leasing three suites at Bexley Business Park at 572 S. Nelson Rd. this past month. He acted as a dual representative in two of the three deals. Overall, McGreevy closed 18% of the month’s transactions.

Retail transactions also picked up in February accounting for just over one-third of the month’s activity. The largest retail transaction by volume was a new lease signed by the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio at 311 Deo Dr. in Newark. The team of Matt Gregory, SIOR, CCIM, Philip Bird, SIOR and Mitchell Moore represented the tenant.

Andrew Green, Matt Gregory, SIOR, CCIM, Philip Bird, SIOR, and Mitchell Moore represented the owner in leasing the 9,656-square-foot medical office building at 1547 W. Broad St. Overall, office transactions dipped slightly this month.

Stephen Pryor represented the buyer in the purchase of a multifamily building at 1448 Elmwood Ave. which was purchased for $635,000.
